New Zealand 

The Haka is Maori legend. 

Since 1888 rugby teams in New Zealand have been performing Haka's  before the games to prepare them for the battle. There are different Haka's for different ceremonies  and different tribes.

About New Zealand

It is a small country on the world map. It has two islands named, North island and South island. Wellington is the capital of the North and South island. 

The NEW ZEALAND flag  represents the Southern cross constellation that marks the position of New Zealand in the Pacific ocean. The Union Jack represents the British power over Maori. 

New Zealand in the Olympics

The first time New Zealand was sent into the Olympics was in the 1920’s.

A  number of 120 medals have been awarded to New Zealand with the strongest sports being rowing, athletics and sallying. New Zealand is at number 34 on the Olympics medal chart. Victor Lindberg was the first person in New Zealand to compete in the Olympics. 

In total New Zealand have won 19 medals and won 7 gold, 6 silver and 6 bronze up to date with the Tokyo Olympics of 2021.

It originated in Northern England in 1895 as a split from the Rugby Football Union over the issue of payments to the players. Pass, swing, kick, run, these are but a couple of things in rugby league i'm about to tell you. 

In rugby league a whistle is used.

To play rugby league you have 13 players on the field and a referee.The aim of the game is to take the ball and run from one side to the other end of the field. You can dodge players like step them or fend and boll other players off the field.

There are four ways to score points in rugby league: tries and conversions, penalty goals and drop goals. The try is worth four points and is the main way of scoring in rugby league. 5th and final, you can kick the ball and try and catch the ball and try get  it under the pos

In the 1900’s rugby league was hosted in Paris  where the gold medal was won by the host nation. t 

New Zealand has participated in the winter Olympic games since 1952. NZOC is the National olympic committee for New Zealand.

whales

 I can see killer whales, water and mountains. I can hear the whales and the splash’s of them. I can smell the fresh air and taste the salt water. It looks so nice but looks so cold that no one can swim. However, it is so weird to see what the whales are doing. It looks like they are trying to save baby whales.

 Summarising is an important skill in academic writing. It enables you to extract the most important points from a text and rewrite them in your own words, in a shortened form. Such skills are invaluable when you are note taking and researching for an essay.
